A study released by the Environmental Working group reveals that the City of Manassas Park has the most poluted water in Virginia. See the EWG Report. This drinking water quality report shows results of tests conducted by the water utility and provided to the Environmental Working Group (EWG) by the Virginia Department of Health- Office of Drinking Water.

Pollutants found include: Copper, Lead (total), Nitrate, Monochloroacetic acid, Dichloroacetic acid, Trichloroacetic acid, Monobromoacetic acid, Dibromoacetic acid, Total haloacetic acids (HAAs), Chloroform, Bromodichloromethane, Dibromochloromethane, Total trihalomethanes (TTHMs), Tetrachloroethylene, Alpha particle activity (incl. radon & uranium), Combined Uranium (mg/L), Radium-226, Radium-228, and Gross beta particle activity (pCi/L).
